What is the minimum booking?
The 4-hour half day (€380 excl. VAT). We don't hire shorter slots: preparing the backdrop, the lighting and the studio takes the same work for two hours as for four. If your shoot runs over, each extra hour is €75.
How big is the studio?
The studio is an open-plan 10 × 10 m space with two areas: the shooting area, 10 m wide × 7 m deep × 3.5 m high, where the white, black or green-screen backdrop is set up; and the technical area, 10 × 3.5 m, for camera, crew and production.
Can the backdrop be changed during the shoot?
Yes. A backdrop change costs €100 and takes about 45 minutes. Painting the floor white is an extra €100.
Where is it and how do I get there?
At Calle San Leopoldo 72, 28029 Madrid, 5 minutes from Plaza de Castilla. Metro Ventilla (L9) and Plaza de Castilla (L1, L9, L10). Direct street access through the private courtyard and 2 parking spaces on request.
What has been shot at Plató Madrid?
Music videos for Ana Guerra, Leiva, Nathy Peluso, Amaia, Macaco, Xoel López and La Casa Azul; campaigns for Maybelline with Úrsula Corberó, UNICEF with Sara Carbonero, Finetwork and Pokémon Twitch Cup, and TV shows such as El Intermedio. We have worked with Sony, Warner, Mediaset, Mediapro, Viacom, El Terrat, McCann and Magnolia.
Is it soundproofed? Can I record live sound?
Yes. The studio is acoustically treated to give a dry sound environment with no reverberation, so live sound is recorded as normal. It is an industrial unit with a pitched roof: only on days of very heavy rain can some noise be heard on the roof. If your shoot depends entirely on live sound and storms are forecast, let us know and we'll assess it together.
Can I park and unload equipment?
Yes. Unloading is done right at the studio door: the street has no kerb and is at the same level, so equipment rolls straight in. The two parking spaces included are in a nearby building (max. height 1.85 m, cars only).
Is there Wi-Fi and internet for streaming?
Yes. The studio has high-speed Wi-Fi and a 1 Gb symmetric fibre connection, designed for live streaming. All included in the price.
Can I hire extra equipment (cameras, lenses, lighting)?
Yes. On the Partners page (Spanish) you'll find rental houses that regularly work with us; tell them you're shooting at Plató Madrid.
